Scott’s Thoughts - June 5, 2024

Thursdays on Main will be tomorrow night!

At our last family meeting, we mentioned that we will be serving our community one Thursday a month, handing out free bottled waters and praying for people. Tomorrow will be the day! We will be there from 5 until 7:30. David Watson will be spearheading this event, so be sure to get in touch with him if you would like to be involved! Even if you can only stay for a short time, it is a great opportunity to engage our community with the love of Christ. Hope to see you there!

Sermon this week: John 17:1-5

For the next few weeks, we will be shifting gears a bit, and studying Jesus’ high priestly prayer! The prayer is broken down into three sections. In 1-5, Jesus prays for Himself. In 6-19, Jesus prays for His disciples. Finally, Jesus uses the end of the prayer to pray for those who would come after the original disciples. I am looking forward to discovering more about this prayer of Jesus!
